Kline likely to remain chair of Education and Workforce committee
Washington – The House Republican Steering Committee on Nov. 18 recommended that Rep. John Kline (R-MN) continue in his post as chair of the Education and the Workforce Committee during the next congressional term. Kline has served as chair since 2010.
The full House Republican conference will later vote on all chairman recommendations – a vote typically seen as a formality.
“Significant challenges face our classrooms and workplaces, challenges that have persisted for far too long,” Kline said in a Nov. 19 statement. “If the president is willing to engage and the Senate is willing to act, we can advance reforms that will make a difference in the lives of students and working families.”
